C1 — The Transition from Meditation to Contemplation — Session 1 of 5

Learn

If you've been practising mental prayer faithfully, you may notice changes: prayer becomes simpler, words feel less necessary, you're drawn to just "be" with God. This is not failure — it's progress. God is shifting the work from you to Himself. Meditation (using your mind actively) is a bridge to contemplation (God working directly on your soul).

Engage

"When prayer becomes simpler, something is wrong" (False), "Contemplation is something you do" (False), "Meditation is the final destination of prayer" (False), "The transition from meditation to contemplation is normal" (True)

Today's Practice

If your prayer has been changing — becoming simpler, less wordy — take heart. This may be God drawing you deeper. Don't fight it by forcing more words.
